The purpose of this program is to educate and motivate high school students to learn more about the fields of sports medicine and athletic training.
The student athletic training course will give instruction and hands-on experience in sports medicine, and provide an understanding of injury management and protection techniques.
Students completing this course, who (on their own) supplement it with CPR and first aid courses, can assist licensed athletic trainers of high school sports teams during the school year.
The course is taught by Marshfield Clinic athletic trainers and offered free of charge.
