Cancer Survivorship Program

Our cancer survivorship program offers holistic care for adult patients throughout their cancer treatment.

"Cancer survivorship" is a phrase you will hear as you learn about your cancer diagnosis. "Cancer survivors" are individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer and the people in their lives who are affected by the diagnosis, including family members, friends and caregivers.

Medical advances in both early detection and the treatment of cancer have resulted in people living many years following a diagnosis. It is estimated that there are nearly 15.5 million cancer survivors in the U.S., with the number of cancer survivors to increase to 20.3 million in the coming years.

Many will go on to lead normal lives (often described as a "new normal") with few negative side effects from treatment. Treatment for cancer also can have lasting physical, social and emotional effects that alter life for years to come. Many cancer survivors report that recovery from the emotional experience of a life-threatening illness lingers significantly beyond the completion of actual treatment.

Survivorship Coordinators

We are focused on meeting your needs through cancer treatment and beyond. With the guidance of individuals who have experienced cancer treatment, we have developed a comprehensive survivorship program to help you with your adjustment and to put you on the path to wellness and recovery. We provide compassionate, qualified survivorship coordinators at several locations throughout Wisconsin.
