Shortness of breath during pregnancy

As your baby grows larger and takes up more room, you may become short of breath. This problem will go away shortly before your baby is born.

When you feel short of breath, stop whatever you are doing and take four or five deep, slow breaths. Also, moving more slowly will help conserve your breath. If shortness of breath is accompanied by dizziness or a feeling as though your heart is racing, let your provider know.
