To allow us to best serve you, call the oncology nurse triage line with symptoms needing to be addressed. By calling the triage nurse and not walking in without an appointment, we are better able to assess your needs, order labs or tests, and consult with your provider as needed.

In order to meet your needs, personnel answering the oncology nurse triage line will ask:
- Whether the call is an emergency.
- Your name and relationship to the patient.
- Your medical history number.
- Your doctor's name(s).
- Your diagnosis.
- For a brief description of the reason you are calling.
You can assist the oncology nurse by:
- Having the nurse speak directly with the person who is having the problem or symptom.
- Providing your phone number in case a follow-up call is needed.
- Knowing what medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and home remedies.
- Providing the name and phone number of the pharmacy you use.
