Shining Star – Special recognition with a gift
Marshfield Clinic's Shining Star program offers grateful patients and their loved ones the opportunity to recognize a Health System employee as a Shining Star. Donors are encouraged to include share a short message about why they are honoring their Shining Star. Gifts to the Shining Star program can be made in honor of a physician, nurse, medical assistant, receptionist, volunteer or anyone who has provided exceptional care.
When a gift is made to the Shining Star program in honor of a staff member, the staff member is presented with a Shining Star lapel pin. Receiving a Shining Star pin is an honor and the pins are worn with pride throughout Marshfield Clinic Health System.

DAISY Award – Honor an extraordinary nurse
An acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System, The DAISY Foundation was formed in November 1999, by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died at age 33 of complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). The nursing care Patrick received when hospitalized profoundly touched his family. The DAISY Foundation expresses gratitude to nurses with programs that recognize them for the extraordinary skillful, compassionate care they provide patients and families.
