Two staffing changes have recently taken place in Marshfield Clinic's Development Department. Rikki Starich has joined the Development team as annual giving officer, while Tiffany Halan has switched from stewardship coordinator to events coordinator.

As annual giving officer, Starich is responsible for annual giving initiatives including the new Circle of Friends campaign and the Project Shine campaign for Marshfield Clinic employees.

Starich (pronounced STAR-rich) came to the Clinic from Lexington, Kentucky, where she worked in major gifts and annual giving for Transylvania University. Prior to that, she worked in annual giving at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.  A native of Green Bay who grew up 1-1/2 blocks from Lambeau Field, she's a Packers fan who is glad to be back in Wisconsin.

"This is the right career move to get me home," she said. "I knew of the Clinic's fine reputation and I'm excited to be working with some of the best Development professionals in the state." She earned her bachelor's degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and a master's degree in education from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

Halan excelled in her stewardship position over nearly two years and brings proven organizational skills to the details-oriented events coordinator position. She is responsible for coordinating annual fundraising events organized by the department, and assisting volunteer committees staging 25 to 30 events per year.

"I'm very excited to partner with Clinic friends and community leaders who take an active role in our volunteer fundraising efforts," Halan said of her job switch. "These events mean so much to so many people, outside and inside the Clinic, and people put so much effort into them. I'm looking forward to working with them to help make their events a success."

A Marshfield native, she returned to her hometown from Rochester, Minnesota, where she was director of operations at the Rochester Athletic Club.

Halan earned her bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, with a double major in sports management and fitness. She and her husband, Danny, have two young children.

Circle of Friends recognizes annual leadership donors

Marshfield Clinic is grateful for the tremendous support we receive each year to support our mission. The Development Department recently unveiled a new annual leadership giving society – the Circle of Friends – to honor our most loyal and generous donors.

Circle of Friends strives to recognize donors whose dedication to Marshfield Clinic is backed by strong financial support each year.  This society is made up of individuals and organizations whose annual gifts and sponsorships of $1,000 or more provide the foundation for the valuable programs and services offered at the Clinic.

For more information about Circle of Friends, please contact Rikki Starich at 715-389-3530 or by email at starich.rikki@marshfieldclinic.org, or any of the development officers listed on the inside front cover of this publication.
