“My approach is holistic. I take the time necessary to treat the whole patient, focusing on the big picture.”
“Physical medicine and rehabilitation
focuses on restoring a person’s original
functional level after an injury or illness,”
explains Dr. Biswas, “The cause can be a
back, sports or work-related injury, a brain
or spinal cord injury, or a stroke.” Medicines,
injections, rehabilitation and other treatments
help a person regain lost function.
She appreciates the opportunity to make
a real difference in a patient’s life. “I like
being able to improve someone’s life over
the long haul,” she says. Her background in
electrodiagnostic medicine and neurology
helps her determine what is wrong,
allowing her to bring her skills in physical
medicine and rehabilitation to bear.
Dr. Biswas and her husband, also a physician, enjoy traveling and outdoor activities with their two sons, both school soccer players. When she has some time to herself, Dr. Biswas likes to read, watch movies, and go out for a nice walk. She and some girlfriends also like to take an annual adventure trip.
Dr. Biswas is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, sports medicine, and electrodiagnostic medicine. She earned her medical degree at Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi.
