Cardiologist Dr. John Hayes concentrates his cardiology practice on diagnosing and treating patients with heart rhythm disturbances.

“It’s a pleasure to provide people with quality care and improve their health,” he said.

He came to Marshfield Clinic Health System in 1991, attracted by its high-quality practice, the community’s family-oriented environment and positive feedback from patients who had been referred to Mayo Clinic during his residency there.

Dr. Hayes earned his medical degree at Rush University Medical Center-Rush Medical College, Chicago. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Rochester, Minnesota; and a fellowship in cardiology and electrophysiology at the University of Washington, Seattle.

Dr. Hayes is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.

He and his wife have three children. He enjoys fitness activities such as running, bicycling and basketball.
