"I enjoy connecting with my patients and their families to create long-term relationships."
Dr. Joanna Gudel cares for some of the
youngest residents of the Northwoods.
As a Pediatrician, she specializes in a fullrange
of medical care for children from
birth through adolescence. Her practice
includes the diagnosis and treatment
of general medical problems including
physical, mental growth and development
issues, preventative and behavioral
pediatrics, disease prevention, health
promotion and wellness education.
“I enjoy the relationships I’ve created
with the families in my practice and the
continuity of care that comes with seeing
patients as they grow,” says Dr. Gudel.
Dr. Gudel joined the Marshfield Clinic’s Pediatric team in 1989. She says the Marshfield Clinic’s long-standing reputation within the medical community, along with the beautiful scenery of the Northwoods, drew her to northern Wisconsin. Dr. Gudel is
a native of Poland and says the Northwoods
reminds her of a favorite vacation destination
back home.
She is the proud mother of two sons and enjoys spending time with them outdoors. She enjoys walking her dogs through the
woods in search of wild mushrooms. She likes
gardening, reading historical biographies
and gourmet cooking.
Dr. Gudel began her medical career at Warsaw
Medical Academy in Warsaw, Poland. She then traveled to the United States for her Internship at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Gudel completed her Residency in Pediatrics at the same institution. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is licensed to practice in Wisconsin.
