Dr. Chad Giles in a non-operative orthopedics specialist who treats people of all ages with bone and muscle issues.


Dr. Giles combines his interest in medicine with his love of sports through his work as a sports medicine physician who practices non-operative orthopedics. He is also athletics department head physician for University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. 

Originally from the Wausau area, Dr. Giles received most his care from the Marshfield Clinic Health System and says working here feels like coming home.

Dr. Giles will treat patients ranging from pediatric-specific conditions to adults with arthritis and degenerative joint and tendon conditions. “My patient population varies from pediatric patients, as young as 5 or 6-years-old, up to patients in their 90s and even 100s,” he said.

Dr. Giles aims to educate his patients about their condition and the course of their treatment and focuses on individualized care. “My role is to help patients select the treatment options that are right for their unique situation,” he said. “Education provides my patients with the tools to make informed decisions and actively participate in their care.”

Dr. Giles earned his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his bachelors of science in biomedical sciences from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

When not at work, Dr. Giles is an outdoor enthusiast. He stays active with winter sports such as skiing and snowshoeing and in the summer, he enjoys running and is training for half marathons. He’s a fan of the Packers, Wisconsin football, Brewers and Marquette basketball.

Dr. Giles and his wife have two daughters.
