“I treat patients like I would like to be treated, with respect and empathy.”

Provider Bio down arrow

Dr. Amy Jaeger, a podiatrist, treats ankle sprains, forefoot injuries, tendon injuries, bunions and plantar skin conditions such as plantar verruca.

She became interested in podiatry after meeting a podiatrist while running in a marathon race. She later jobshadowed a podiatrist in her hometown of Stevens Point, and was hooked.

“I’m most passionate about diabetic foot care because my father was a type 1 diabetic,” said Dr. Jaeger, who currently splits her time between Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield. “I also enjoy sports and especially long-distance running, and helping runners with foot problems.”

“I would hope my patients would say I’m a caring individual who listened to their needs and went out of my way to understand their problem and provide different treatment options,” she said.

Dr. Jaeger earned her medical degree and a master’s degree in health care administration from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in Iowa. She then completed a residency in podiatric surgery at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines.

She still enjoys running as well as downhill and water skiing, and swimming. She and her husband, Nick, have two daughters.
