Rheumatology and Arthritis Care

Our rheumatologists can help create a comprehensive treatment plan for patients of all ages, including medications taken by mouth and IV infusion therapy given in the clinic.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates 46 million adults have some form of arthritis. Arthritis and other rheumatic disease can cause pain, swelling and loss of motion at the joints. The skin, heart, lungs and other internal organs can also be involved.

Rheumatologists diagnose and treat many illnesses, including:

  • Connective tissue diseases, such as Scleroderma
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Lupus
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Other conditions such as gout and Lyme disease

Our rheumatologists work closely with orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physical therapists, primary care physicians and other specialists to make available joint replacement surgery, kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty and a wide range of other therapeutic services aimed at reducing pain, increasing mobility and function, and improving overall quality of life.

Research and clinical trials

We’re involved in numerous ongoing studies investigating the causes of rheumatic diseases and evaluating potential new therapies for a variety of conditions.
