“I am passionate about being an advocate for child health and helping families to deal with a sick child.”
Dr. Rajasekhar Bodicharla is a pediatric
gastroenterologist, a specialty area that
gives him an immense sense of satisfaction.
“I chose this field because it offers me an
opportunity to help children with chronic
and debilitating digestive system conditions
to have a near normal life,” he said.
Although most of his training has been in
large cities, he served for three years in
a small town in the United Kingdom and
appreciates living in a smaller community
where life is not fast-paced.
“I was instantly drawn to the serenity and
peacefulness I felt when I first came to
Marshfield to visit a friend in 2007. The
Clinic also has the exact model of clinical
practice that I was looking for,” he said.
“I ascribe to the principles of evidence-based medicine and am a firm believer in preventing disease and helping families/children understand the importance of healthy choices in life.”
Dr. Bodicharla earned his medical degree in India and pursued additional training in the United Kingdom. He completed a pediatrics residency at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, and a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
He enjoys photography, traveling and playing the guitar.
