As someone who is drawn to challenges, solving complex issues, and using his vast medical training and experience to help patients, Dr. Kareem Abdelhadi is fulfilling those passions as a medical oncologist for Marshfield Clinic Rice Lake Center. He joins an experienced team of oncologists who provide unmatched and cutting edge cancer care treatment in northwest Wisconsin.
Dr. Abdelhadi comes to Marshfield Clinic highly regarded in the field of cancer care. He served his fellowship in the Malignant Hematology and Medical Oncology Department at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. His background also includes geriatric internal medicine at the same medical facility. He earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan College of Medicine in Amman, Jordan.
“I enjoy the patient-doctor relationship that develops with my cancer patients,” he says. “I get great satisfaction from knowing that I am providing a real benefit to my patients, and that feeling is why I chose this as my career track.”
Dr. Abdelhadi did his homework before joining Marshfield Clinic. His brother who is a cardiologist in the Twin Cities had great things to say about the Wisconsin based health care organization to the east. “He told me that Marshfield Clinic has a great reputation nationally.” His colleagues and professors at the University of Texas Medical Branch also had high praise for Marshfield Clinic. He also was struck by the warm, friendly reception he received upon arriving at the Rice Lake Center. “Everyone seems so happy,” he says.
Dr. Abdelhadi is married, and together he and his wife enjoy dining out, watching movies, and playing table tennis.
