Dr. Brenda Kibola has always been fascinated in understanding what makes people the way they are. She combines that fascination with a passion for helping others in her work as a psychiatrist.
“Understanding how the brain works and why people develop the way they do has always interested me,” Dr. Kibola said.
She treats patients with depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, postpartum depression and dementia. Her approach to patients is to provide holistic care.
“I want to know about the whole person when I see them,” Dr. Kibola said. “The more I understand my patients and what they’re going through, the better I can help them.”
Dr. Kibola earned her medical degree at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in New Hampshire. She completed a residency in adult psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
Outside of work, Dr. Kibola likes to be active in her community.
