“My goal is to help people. To do that, the most important thing is to really listen to patients.”

Provider Bio down arrow

Dr. Adetoun Adebule has been interested in taking care of people from the time she was a young girl growing up in Nigeria. Instead of playing with her dolls, she would treat them like patients.

“I like to make sure everyone is doing well,” Dr. Adebule said. “That is what drew me to medicine.”

She gets deep fulfillment from caring for patients, especially those who are expecting children.

“Obstetrics is a happy place to be,” she said. “It’s a special time for any woman who is having a child.”

When she takes care of a woman, she believes she is also caring for the whole community.

“The impact you have on one lady’s life also impacts her family,” Dr. Adebule said. “That impact spreads and can really be beneficial to many lives.”

She describes herself as a passionate person who is extremely dedicated to her work.

Her approach to care is to always put the patient’s needs first and listen to them intently.

Dr. Adebule earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She completed her residency at Rochester Regional Health System in New York.

She is a people person and enjoys spending time with friends. She also likes music, cooking, travelling, reading and braiding hair. Her parents are the most important people to her, and she occasionally gets to visit them back in Nigeria. Dr. Adebule is one of five children.
