Varicose and spider veins

Varicose and spider veins are a chronic vein disease that affect up to 50% of people in their lifetime.

Varicose veins are enlarged veins that are blue, red or flesh-colored and can be found on your thighs, calves or the inside of your leg. These veins can be swollen and raised above the surface of the leg. Varicose veins can lead to swelling, a burning sensation, fatigue, aching and pain. In serious cases, varicose veins can cause sores or skin ulcers, bleeding if the vein is injured or a clot.

Spider veins are blue or purple veins located within the skin. These veins look like spider webs or tree branches.
