Marshfield Clinic Health System is committed to continuing to bring quality health care to Portage County and the surrounding area for years to come.

Our new hospital opening in Spring 2022 is a continuation of all we’ve promised and continue to provide the Stevens Point community – addition of emergency services, primary care, more than 25 specialties, a comprehensive cancer center – for more coordinated care closer to home.

We continue to invest in the Stevens Point community as the official sports medicine provider of UW-Stevens Point Athletics, providing care for 500-plus student-athletes and 20 teams. We are excited to continue this tradition by providing even more student learning opportunities in athletic training, nursing, speech pathology and physical therapy programs.

Where will the new hospital be located?

The new hospital is a 48,000-square foot addition to the existing Stevens Point Center at 4100 State Highway 66 in Stevens Point.

What specialties and services will be offered?

In addition to our existing specialties and services, our hospital expansion will bring new specialties, including a 24/7 emergency department, pediatric cardiology and GI, adult cardiology, OB/Gyn, Orthopedics, ENT and more.

What will the new hospital look like?

The first floor of the two-story 48,000-square foot hospital addition to the existing Stevens Point Center will feature the emergency services with eight treatment rooms, a trauma room, 12 hospital inpatient beds, a dining area, and lobby.

The second floor will house the surgical suite with operating and procedural rooms, surgical waiting area, administrative offices and a beautiful conference room with floor-to-ceiling windows providing a view of nature across Highway 66.
