​​​​​​​​​​We structure our didactic programs along a traditional model, albeit with one significant difference, that of an 'Integrated Curriculum' in which Core Lectures, MedStudy, MKSAP and Outpatient Clinic 'Article of the Week' all follow a common theme.​

A blend of classic lectures on Internal Medicine topics mixed with Integrated Curriculum Conferences.

Learning parallels how you will practice: working in conjunction with radiology, surgical specialties, pharmacists and others in a multidisciplinary approach.


 

Morning Report – 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

The mainstay remains case-based learning. This varies from a team presenting a case from medical service to a case from ambulatory clinic, or a subspecialty case.


Friday Morning 'Potpourri' – 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.; Friday

'Low key' learning opportunities in an interactive setting.

Potpourri may include: MKSAP sessions, Medical Jeopardy, Journal Club, Morbidity and Mortality or an "ICU Case of the Month."


 

Grand Rounds – Noon to 1 p.m.; Friday

A mix of internationally-renowned experts and Marshfield Clinic faculty present state-of-the-art updates on a variety of topics with global appeal.​



Intern Survival Skills – July - August, weekly

PGY1 residents gather to discuss common Internal Medicine issues.


 

Board Review - Offered 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at a minimum of 1-2 monthly with an increase by spring


 

Residents as Teachers (RATS) – 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.; Bimonthly

Interactive conferences for all residents to "teach the teacher."



Yale Outpatient Conference – Twice weekly while on outpatient block
