Coronavirus (COVID-19) Patient and Visitor Masking

Marshfield Clinic Health System is located on private property and will continue requiring patients and visitors to wear masks while on our locations.

At this time, all patients and visitors are required to wear a mask in Health System facilities.

Exceptions for patient masking include:

  • Children under the age of 2
  • Patients who have trouble breathing or have a medical condition, which would be negatively impacted by wearing a mask
  • Patients that have trouble removing the mask
  • Patient who is presenting to an Emergency Department or Urgent Care

Patients with a medical condition will be asked to cover their nose and mouth with a tissue before proceeding to their appointment.

Visitors who are allowed to enter per our current visitor guidelines will be required to wear a mask at all times while visiting any of our locations. If the visitor does not agree to wear a mask, they will be asked to leave.

If you do not have a mask, we will offer you one for free. Masking in public is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to slow the spread of the virus.
