Marshfield Clinic Mercer Center is a primary and specialty care center and is staffed by a physician and a family nurse practitioner. The Center provides basic laboratory and x-ray services, and a procedure room for urgent/acute issues. Mercer Center also specializes in orthopedic and urology services.

The Center offers a convenient Remote Dispensing Site for your prescription needs. This service is available Monday – Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to Noon. The remote dispensing site (RDS) operates as an extension of a traditional pharmacy. The primary difference is that a pharmacist checks the orders and talks with patients via a two-way video connection instead of being live at the site.

Family medicine is concerned with the total health care of any individual and the entire family. Family medicine integrates the biological, clinical and behavioral sciences to treat the whole patient, no matter the age, gender or disease. Family medicine provides preventive and primary care and is often the point of first contact for patients referred to Marshfield Clinic.

Mercer Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and is a Primary Care Medical Home-certified health care facility.

Mercer is a quiet community between Minocqua and Hurley on Highway 51. It is near national and state forests. It draws visitors and residents looking to escape the hustle and bustle of their hometowns. Mercer remains unspoiled. One school serves students, from kindergarten through 12th grade.
