A message on our new Foundation

​100 years ago, six physicians joined together to form Marshfield Clinic, advancing patient care, research and education in Wisconsin. Our founders’ vision fuels our mission today: to enrich lives. Philanthropy remains at the core of this mission, which is why we are excited to announce the creation of Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation.

Enriching lives across a much larger footprint – including 7,000 employees and 700 world-class physicians, 86 specialties and over 50 locations throughout Wisconsin – means that philanthropy is essential to caring for our patients. Over the past 100 years, over 37,000 donors have donated over $100 million to patient care, research and education programs at Marshfield Clinic.

Moving forward into the next century, the new Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation will be positioned to assume fundraising responsibilities for the system and be aligned with system strategic initiatives. A Marshfield Clinic Foundation board, dedicated to philanthropy, will help us advance our efforts and pursue new opportunities.

Marshfield Clinic Health System continues to expand with hospitals and cancer centers, embark on precision medicine initiatives, train the next generation of health care professionals and provide accessible, affordable, high-quality patient care. We are so grateful for the remarkable continued philanthropic support from patients, physicians, staff, businesses and organizations throughout our system of care and beyond.

Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation will allow us to continue the legacy of our founders: compassionate, innovative care to the generations of patients who receive care from Marshfield Clinic Health System every day.
