“I value the trust placed in me. It means a tremendous amount to me and inspires me to live up to it.”
Dr. Thomas H. Garver is an orthopedic surgeon who diagnoses and
treats musculoskeletal conditions like
broken bones, joint arthritis and sports
injuries.
“My work
is satisfying in that I can often make
an immediate, positive impact for my
patients.” Dr. Garver also credits his staff
with the difference they make: “I am very
proud of the skills and compassion my
physician assistant, medical assistant,
nurse and appointing staff demonstrate.
It’s a team effort.”
Dr. Garver suffered a severe knee injury
many years ago while playing high school
football. “I didn’t seek the medical
attention I should have right away. That
made things worse,” he said. “That
experience makes me appreciate the
need to help people promptly so they can
get as much function back as possible.”
Dr. Garver is board certified in orthopedic surgery. He went to medical school at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences – F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He did his residency in orthopedic surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
